I am an independent communications and strategy consultant with extensive experience across the private and public sectors. I work alongside senior leaders providing strategic guidance and advice. I also specialise in conducting independent reviews and assessments that deliver tangible and actionable recommendations. My clients know me for delivering quality work and meaningful outcomes. I also provide corporate communications consultancy services to executives and boards. These communications services include RFPs; major tenders; annual and integrated (sustainability) reports; internal communication campaigns; and the development of white papers.

My most recent independent reviews were on conducted on behalf of Save the Kiwi, Predator Free NZ Trust, Biosecurity New Zealand (Ministry for Primary Industries) and the Ministry of Defence. In 2019 I helped establish The Aotearoa Circle, a private-public environmental partnership, following a period running the Office of the Chief Executive for the Ministry for the Environment.

In my 30 year career I have worked with many public and private organisations including BNZ, NZTE, The Warehouse Group, Vero, Vector, Carter Holt Harvey, Oji, The Treasury, Auckland Council, New Zealand Customs, Hobsonville LandCo, NZTE and The Human Rights Commission. I also headed the nationally recognisable non-profit, Project Crimson Trust for five years.

At present I am also acting as the part-time Executive Director of the Biosecurity Business Pledge helping it to transition to an independent legal entity with a member-funded model. Launched at the end of 2019, the Biosecurity Business Pledge is a partnership between government and industry that aims to help all New Zealand businesses take a proactive approach to their biosecurity practices.

The Pledge was developed by business to provide a framework for managing the risk of unwanted pests and diseases (plant or animal) disrupting individual businesses or even whole sectors. This framework for action makes biosecurity a core part of operational activity and assists businesses to meet their corporate and social responsibilities.
